This painting is inspired by the book, Understanding Deafhood in Search of Deafhood by Paddy Ladd. This reminded me of the painting I did of ‘Mask of Benevolence.’ This time with cochlear implants on Deaf children, going into mainstreaming and genetic engineering. The Deaf person at the center, said, STOP.
