A Cup of Hot Coffee is a small painting celebrating the beauty of everyday life through sign language. The artwork features the ASL handshape for “cup,” representing a cup of hot coffee, with steam rising above it. Through a simple, familiar subject, I bring together visual expression, ASL, and the Deaf experience, showing how sign language can transform an ordinary moment into a meaningful visual statement.
