ZIPPER motif, resistance

The LSL zipper is zapped on the Deaf mind, with the hands scratched on the wall, hunger for ASL, (inspired by Adrean Clark's Hunger Strike) and Education. Audism is heavily focused on the ear and mouth.

The concept on this painting is about language deprivation and colonialism. This is based on a Deaf person being abused and mantipulated on the Deaf mind where it is forever starved and mind the listening and spoken language, taking away our visual language.
