This painting is inspired by Henri Matisse's painting "Red Room," where I saw the actual painting at the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia. This painting is also from one of my paintings "Handflowers"http://www.nancyrourke.com/handflowers.htm  Flower motif to me, means happiness and hope. A huge black swirl vase holds up big sun/handflowers. The yellow stripe on the right side is the drapery with blue floor, red wall and red table.
