Description about the painting:
This goes to the Right to Be Deaf Series Painting No. 6 and this is part of the Stop Bullying Deaf Children campaign.
(See the first painting "Identity Gone" with Deaf students in mainstreaming school.) This painting is about Deaf Education in Deaf Schools where the Deaf students feel at 'home.' They call it "Second Home" because this is where they belong. They feel natural again and much more self esteem. They brainstormed and shared ideas, and always learning everyday. This is a history class focusing on Deaf History. There is a Deaf teacher on the right and three Deaf students. They gather together in a circle to see each other easily. They sign, "Happy 300th Celebration to Abbe Charles de L’Epee."
