Description about the painting:
I am working on a series 'Right to Be Deaf', Painting No. 4 'Deaf ID Theft.' This painting is based on what is happening with the 'professionals' with the hands signing 'ROB.' The signing ROB means the Deaf Identity has been taken away. Their identity was robbed by the 'Professionals.' The Professionals are Alexander Graham Bell Association, The Elephant in the Deaf Room, CI doctors, Stem Cells doctors, Audiologists, Speech Therapists, Oral schools and Early Hearing Detection and Intervention. They are the 'Mask of Benevolence.' The Culturally Deaf toddler cried as his idenity was 'robbed.' There is a hidden message on the background—AGBAD as in 'Alexander Graham BAD' with the use of De'VIA symbol 'painter's blue tape' marks.

This painting is from a Deaf perspective, on what they see, is happening today.

This painting was requested by a Deaf person coming from a Deaf family, five generation, has a toddler whose Deaf identity was taken from a cochlear implant surgery.
