Paint with Nancy Rourke was a two-day community art event hosted by Waving Hands and sponsored by Miami-Dade County and Blick Art Materials at The Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum on the Modesto A. Maidique Campus of Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, Florida.

Approximately 600 participants attended the event, where each person created their own canvas painting under Nancy Rourke’s guidance. Participants of all ages and artistic backgrounds explored bold primary colors, expressive brushwork, and the creative process while learning about the joy of painting.

The event celebrated creativity, community, and the power of art to connect people across diverse backgrounds. Through this shared artistic experience, attendees discovered that everyone has the ability to express themselves through art, leaving with both a completed painting and a memorable experience.
