This painting was donated to the DeSales Art Center (now Kathy Derderain Art Center), Brooklyn, Michigan. The first half mural focuses on the past history when Milan 1880 started, a group of Deaf people hand waved and pushed down the realm of the Oralism on a row boat without a rudder when George Veditz left NAD. He made a 1913 film of The Preservation of Sign Language. The hand tree of 1989 De’VIA was established, stood behind, with a school of fish swam along the wave of Sign Union flag and the bees going into present to future on the next mural Laurie Rose Monahan made. The half triangle of Spectrum hand connects to the next mural that also has a triangle, shows the overall tradition Spectrum started in the early 1970s to the next generation.
