Wounded Deaf Horse

30 Days in June Project
Wounded Deaf Horse 8 inch by 10 inch oil on stretched canvas $90 click on image.

Description about the painting:

Day 3, June 3rd, painting of the series '30 Days in June Project.' This painting is a thumbnail painting that will be painted on a 44inch by 80inch canvas. This is about the wounded Deaf horse who was badly whipped by the Second Wave of Oralism. The same concept as 'Whips a Dead Horse' as an idom, also from the previous painting that I did of 'AGBell Whips a Deaf Horse.'

The symbols in the painting show a yellow handeye as a sun shine upon the Deaf horse, means there is HOPE and Deaf people need light to see. The painter's blue tape refers to trapped and tied, ASL is prohibited, not allowed to sign and must learn to talk and has been brainwashed by the Oralism Failure. The blue water refers to the Second Wave of Oralism trying to come and wash away the American Sign Language and to eradicate deafness. There is a red powerful mountain in the background growing and keeping the water from coming and pushing away. There is a quote by Dr. Paddy Ladd, stating about building a mountain and to keep water astill.
