This is a quote about George Veditz:

“George W. Veditz (was) the most valiant fighter in the cause of the deaf who ever lived...” – American Annals of the Deaf, March 1937.

This painting shows a totem pole with five De'VIA motifs with a resistance category. The red-tailed hawk is George W. Veditz, standing tall and courageous. The elephant is Alexander Graham Bell and the Octopus symbolizes Captialism, power, seize control of Deaf community. The monkey symbolizes audiology lab, CI mascot and stage of evolution. The forked tongue snake symbolizes False promises.
