Description about the painting:

This painting shows the hand signing ASL, American Sign Language and the barbed wires. The barbed wire refers to oppression. A symbol of the oppression on Deaf culture, the Deaf children's rights and our language. This is Solidarity, and to respect our Culture and Language, and to prevent the spread of capitalism throught America. The red colour refers to Empowerment, turquoise to Deafhood, and yellow to Hope.
