Description about the painting:
This painting is inspired by Ella Mae Lentz' vlog 'AGBell: the Elephant in the Deaf Room.' This is the second painting from the first painting 'The Elephant in the Deaf Room.' The elephant is Alexander Graham Bell in a tiny Deaf room with a group of Deaf people, hearing parents, CODAs, and those who support American Sign Language. They are pushing the walls down. The hands are pushing the Elephant out of the room. The walls have been demolished. The color shapes on the floor are the demolished walls. They are fighting for their human rights. Deaf people and children embrace the hearing parents. 'The elephant in the room' (idiom)- a major or controversial problem that is not discussed.
