This painting is inspired by Deafhood Discussion, "The Oralist Response, 1980's to Date, Part 1 (p. 157-158)" with JAC Cook, February 17, 2014. After viewing the vlog this morning, it reminded me of the painting I did of 'Mask of Benevolence.' This time with cochlear implants on Deaf children, going into mainstreaming and genetic engineering. The Deaf person at the center, said, STOP.
