Description about the painting:

This painting is about literacy that Deaf children are doing today, using ASL as their natural signed language in reading and writing. This painting shows a Deaf toddler with a red hand and a blue hand, meaning diversity.
The story book is about Good Night Moon. Both children are imaging and signing with a dream/balloon above them, that shows a cow jumping over the moon. A black Deaf child reads and signs while a Deaf toddler watches and looks at the picture and recognizes words and understands instantly. This painting will be giving to the Deaf Children's Literacy Benefit Gala.
