The painting depicts a Deaf baby with a black cochlear implant, sleeping. The gray background shows hand movement, signing by famous poet, Clayton Valli, “Dandelion”, is BLOCK OUT. The Deaf baby will never have a chance to see Valli's poem. COCHLEAR IMPLANT BLOCKS OUT the Deaf Culture as the Auditory/CI industrial complex wants the baby to hear and live in a hearing world. #ASL28Challenge #CulturalGenocide
