This painting was used for the 28 Days in February Challenge, under CLOUD motif, Day 17 of 28 Days.

The painting shows a statue of Alice Cogswell, a daughter of a founder of the Connecticut Asylum for the Education and Instruction of Deaf and Dumb Persons (now called the American School for the Deaf). She was the first student of the deaf school. The statue was sculpted by Frances L. Wadsworth. In the background, shows clouds with an image of Laurent Clerc. He was her first Deaf teacher. This is to honour and celebrate 200th year of ASD and American Sign Language.
